July 27, Saturday: Come out and celebrate a successful year of outdoor ministry at the Camp CILCA Homecoming, July 27th from 10a.m.-2p.m.! The fun is inclusive of: outdoor games, live music from Lloyd Garrelts, face paint & balloon animals, crafts & food vendor fair, swimming & boating, wagon rides, food, and drinks! August 3, Saturday: Come and be blessed by a wonderful concert and joyful time of fellowship on August 3rd, The Best of Southern Gospel, put on by The Wanda Mountain Boys! The show will be held at 6p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, located at: 157 East Tremont Street, Waverly, Illinois. This concert will be of no charge, but there will be a love offering will be taken to help support this fantastic group!
August 11, Sunday: The Wanda Mountain Boys, the beloved Southern Gospel trio out of the Saint Louis area, will be performing at Fairview Baptist Church at 10a.m. on August 11th! August 24, Saturday: Ladies, come and join for a Christ-filled, fun day! Sisters in Christ presents: Dinelle Frankland (of Lincoln, Illinois) to headline Salem Grace United Methodist Church’s (located on 116 E. Schwartz Street) Ladies Day Event with the theme One God! This event will be held on August 24 from 9a.m.-2:30p.m. and doors will open at 8a.m. with a light continental breakfast. Tickets are $20, inclusive of lunch and childcare! The WLUJ Family of Stations and Great News Radio can air your Public Service Announcement -PSA- for your church or other non-profit organization at no charge. This includes special events and activities such as programs, seminars, banquets, concerts, revivals, etc.
We will list and broadcast announcements as time, space, and resources permit. PSAs are included on our website under Community Calendar and broadcast during our PSA on-air rotation as space and time permit. Ideally, information about your activity should reach our office at least two weeks prior to the event.
If your function, meeting, or activity includes ticket purchase for admission and may be perceived as a profit-making enterprise, determinations will need be made on how best to handle your submission.
